Emeka Anyaeji is a Corporate Attorney with specialization and versatility in Financial & Investment laws in addition to company secretarial and regulatory compliance. He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Lagos (2006) and Bachelor of laws degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, (1996) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1998.
A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, with over two decades of corporate attorney and company secretarial experience across banking, capital market, the telecommunications and insurance sectors where he held various Management and Senior Management positions in the Legal Services Department, Legal Regulatory/Compliance and Company Secretariat respectively.
Emeka had worked in the Group Legal Services of Zenith Bank Group (from 1998) where he held the following positions: Head, Securities documentation & perfection Unit, pioneer Company Secretary and Head Legal Services of Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, Chief Operating Officer of Zenith Trustees Limited before leaving the Group Legal Services of Zenith Bank Group as a Senior Manager in January 2012 to become the Head Legal & Company Secretary of Visafone Communications Limited.
On January 1, 2016, he was appointed Group General Counsel and Group Company Secretary of the Quantum Zenith Group (comprising capital market entities, insurance entities and other sectors).
Emeka is the Group General Counsel & Company Secretary.
